Sonal Satish Wankhade
Sonal's mother is very poor. She earns very little money which is not sufficient to take care of her three daughters. Sonal's father left home two years ago. Sonal has twin sisters, Kiran and Roshan. They are 4 years old. Sonal's mother decided to admit her in BGCH. She was admitted in 2007 in the first grade. She likes to go to school and especially to study Mathematics. Her favorite color is purple. Summer is her favorite season. She does well in her studies.
Payal Ashok Sontakke
Payal was admitted to BGCH in 2008. Both of her parents died when she was very small. Since then, one of the Sisters from Holy Cross Convent had looked after her. For her further care and future education, she was brought to Boys and Girls Christian Home. Payal was admitted into the third grade. She is doing well at BGCH and is doing well in her studies.
Om Rajesh Tikhile
Om's parents were separated and his mother got married to another man. His stepfather was not willing to look after Om. Om's maternal grandmother admitted Om in Boys and Girls Christian Home. Om is 8 years old and he was admitted into the first grade when he arrived in 2008.
Suraj Sunil Vasnik
Suraj's father died when Suraj was just three months old. His father and his relatives had some problems regarding property matter. He was killed by someone. Since then, his mother looked after him. Now it was very difficult for her to take care of her son. She brought Suraj to be admitted in BGCH in 2008. He was admitted in second grade.
Mohammad Sikandar
Mohammad was brought to Boys and Girls Christian Home at the beginning of the 2003 school year. His father has two wives and many children. His father is a truck driver and rarely spends any time with his family. He abuses Mohammad's mother. One day he beat her with an axe which badly injured her hands. Mohammad's mother thought it would be best for him to be admitted into BGCH where he would be taken care of and given a good education.
Sushil Manik Thorat
Sushil came to Boys and Girls Christian Home at the beginning of the 2004 school year and he was admitted into the first grade. Three years before Sushil came to BGCH, his father had back surgery that left him physically handicapped. He is now unable to walk properly and he is unable to do any kind of work. Sushil's mother is in very poor health and she doesn't have consistent work. Sushil's parents find it very hard to provide for their three children. They decided it would be best to bring Sushil and his older sister, Suwarna, to BGCH. Sushil's younger brother, Chetan, is still at home.
Babli Madhukarrao Pandole (221)
Babali came to Boys and Girls Christian Home at the beginning of the 2003 school year. She belongs to the Balai tribe. These people wander from place to place until they find work. Babali's father died in an accident and her mother works as a laborer. Because of poor living conditions at home, Babali came to live BGCH.
Rani Manoj Bhatkar
Rani came to Boys and Girls Christian Home at the beginning of the 2003 school year. When Rani was just three years old, her mother died from burn wounds. Not long after, her father died from a high fever. Rani and her older brother and younger sister went to live with their grandparents. Her grandparents are very poor and they had a difficult time taking care of their three grandchildren. They decided it would be best for Rani to come and study at BGCH. Rani's younger sister, Sonu, has also come to study at BGCH.

Godabai Pundalikrao Dabhane
Godabai's husband died 40 years ago. She has no children. After the death of her husband, she lived with her parents. She used to work in the farm. After the death of her parents, no one was there to take care of her. She came to know about the Home of Peace. She brought herself to the Home to get shelter. She is very happy now. She has come to know Jesus and is very thankful to God for providing her everything.
PRABHABAI BHAGIRATH BHALERAO

Prabhabai is from Sjajapur jawala, District Amravati. She has three sons and three daughters. One of her sons is married with three children of his own. Her husband died thirty years ago. He was suffering from severe stomach pain. Her son has his own field, but does not want to take care of his mother. She was given very bad treatment at her home. An evangelist told her about the Home of Peace and brought her to be admitted. Prabhabai is very happy at the Home of Peace. She is thankful to God for bringing her here.
Parubai Jyotiram Pandagale
Parubai had been with BGCH for many years. She was first working with the little boys to look after them, clean the dorm, and help them with their baths. After a couple of years, she began helping in the dispensary, then later she worked with the girls.

Parubai has nobody to care for her. Before coming to BGCH she was staying with her brother and small grandson. Her brother was not taking good care of her as he had his own family to look after. Parabai became very discouraged in her life. When she heard of BGCH she brought her grandson and admitted him. After leaving him here, she went back to her village, but then none of her relatives were good to her. She worked in one of the pastor's houses for some time and he told her to go to BGCH to work.

Now Parabai is very old and stays in the Home of Peace. She is very happy to be a part of the BGCH family. She is a believer; she has accepted Jesus as her Savior.
