Parubai Pandagade

Parubai is from the village of Erla in Amravati District. Her parents died when she was very small and after her marriage she did not stay with her husband so that she could take care of her sister, who was mute and had noone else to look after her. She and her sister would beg for food from house to house. This sister married and gave birth to a son, Santosh, but died when the child was 5, leaving Parubai to care for him. A pastor near her home village saw her difficulties and told her about BGCH. Santosh was admitted as a student and Parubai used to visit him as much as possible. Eventually, Parubai was given a job at BGCH. She helped the small children, giving them baths and washing their clothing. She came to know about Jesus Christ while working at the Home and was baptized. Parubai was admitted to the Home of Peace when she became too old to continue this work and last year she was very sick and, though there is much improvement in her condition, she is unable to walk or talk. Her nephew studied at BGCH until 10th Grade, when he went on to Bible training. He now works as an evangelist.
