Summer Primary Teacher Training Held at BGCH
This past summer, nearly 300 primary school teachers from all of the private and public schools in Zilla Parishad, a district that encompasses 50 villages, converged at Boys and Girls Christian Home for a rigorous six-day training. The SMART (Statewide Massive And Rigorous Training) event was led by 28 specially trained specialist teachers and sessions went every day from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. Among the teachers participating in the training were three from BGCH: Mr. Raulkar, Mrs. Raulkar and Mrs. Aher.

Some of the teachers who took part offered their comments on BGCH and its facilities:

· Education Officer (name): “BGCH is a place with a clean, quiet and beautiful environment. This is the best place to mold the children.”

· Mrs. Surekhatai Thakare: “I am thankful to BGCH for allowing the use of this wonderful facility for the work of the Education Department. I look forward to his cooperation in the future.”

· Headmaster (name): “I am thankful to all the people in the US who extend their help for BGCH and to the General Director and staff of BGCH. This is the greatest organization that serves widows and orphans.”

· Mr. P.S. Nitnaware, General Director BGCH: “I am very thankful to the Lord for giving the opportunity to have fellowship with 300 teachers and to be able to share the Word of God with them.”

A busy summer on campus! We hosted Baptist Christian Association summer camp, a massive primary teacher training and G-66 Heart Foundation health screening.

35 widows now live in the Home of Peace - a full house! And we are still seeking qualified staff to work with them
